Northbrook Competitive Figure Skating Team 2008-2009 Schedule
Friday, September 12
First Team Ice & Family Skate Night (5:30 – 7:50 pm)
Start the competitive season with a special night devoted to skating and family fun! Skaters and their families are invited to join us for pizza and treats at 5:30 pm in the Sport Center’s Community room. At 5:50 pm, the rink will open for 2 hours of free skating with teammates and their families. Practice tapes will not be played this evening, but there will be plenty of music for the whole family to enjoy!
In addition to skating, you will have an opportunity to meet the new team captains; new members will receive your team handbook, and if needed, order your team jacket. The 2008-2009 NCFST board will be available to answer questions about the competitive season, team ice practices, and parental volunteer requirements. Parent tape playing sign-ups will also take place this evening.
Falling Leaf Open Competition forms will be available also.

Back by popular demand! Skaters will have an opportunity to “shake their ice skating booty” with some helpful guidance from Northbrook Park District instructors Heather Aseltine and Vicky Klinko. These former Northbrook Icettes will hold a clinic during all three ice times to assist our skaters with skating moves that can be used during interpretive competitions. In addition, the instructors will play various styles of music. Practice tapes will not be played this evening.
